Queen Meets Irish President In Belfast
The Queen is making a three-day trip to Northern Ireland, and - as the tenth anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement approaches - the monarch has today met Irish President Mary McAleese, as well as First Minister, Rev Ian Paisley.
The meeting with President McAleese was one of a number of royal engagements on Wednesday, the second day of her visit to the Province.
On Thursday, the Queen will attend the traditional pre-Easter Maundy Service in Armagh Cathedral.
Yesterday, she attended a reception at Hillsborough Castle on the first day of her visit.
The Queen met more than 300 members and workers from the Territorial Army.
The event was to mark the organisation's centenary.

Irish President Starts Historic UK Visit
Irish President Michael D Higgins has been welcomed to the UK by the Royal Family as part of his state visit. Earlier on Tuesday, President Higgins and his wife Sabina met the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh at Windsor Castle having travelled to the residence in a ceremonial carriage procession though the streets of Windsor.

Queen And Prince Philip To Meet Pope Frances in Rome
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will visit Rome on Thursday 3rd April, where they will have an audience with the Pope, according to Buckingham Palace. "Her Majesty and His Royal Highness are visiting at the invitation of the President of Italy," said palace officials.

Queen To Visit Republic
It has emerged the Queen of the United Kingdom may visit the Republic of Ireland for the first time since the beginning of her reign. After a meeting between the Prime Minister David Cameron in London and Taoiseach Brian Cowen, plans have surfaced that the Queen's first state visit to Ireland may come before the end of next year.
