Rugby Ace Charged With Drink-Driving
England rugby ace Mike Tindall has been charged with drink-driving.
Tindall was arrested on the M4 in Berkshire as he was travelling to Twickenham stadium to commentate on England's Six Nations match against Ireland last March.
The rugby star, who also plays outside centre for Gloucester, has been bailed by Thames Valley Police to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on May 14.
A statement released by the Gloucester club said that Tindall "fully recognises the potential dangers of drink-driving" and that he would issue a full statement when the case had been concluded.
The statement added that Tindall would remain "totally focussed on his rugby" to ensure a successful end to Gloucester's season.
Tindall, born in Otley, is the long term boyfriend of Royal equestrienne Zara Phillips.
