Woman In Court After Baby Remains Found
A Plymouth woman is due to appear in court after the decomposed bodies of two babies were found.
Devon and Cornwall Police say a 21-year-old woman has been charged with concealment of birth.
The woman, from Barne Barton, will appear before Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Friday.
The first body was found hidden in the house in 2005 and then in May this year officers found a second infant hidden in the rear garden.
Police say a "thorough investigation" have identified that the two incidents over a three-year-period were connected to the same mother.
She also faces offences of preventing the decent burial of the two babies.
A police spokesman said: "This has been a distressing period for the family, especially the two fathers of the children who only recently were informed.
"This is a tragic case and police and partner agencies are working together to ensure that all related parties are receiving the appropriate support."
Police launched Operation Clemence, headed by Detective Inspector Steve Brownlow and Detective Sergeant Barry Walter, following the most recent discovery.
