Coach Driver Admits Death By Dangerous Driving
A Scottish coach driver who has been released on bail, admitted to causing death by dangerous driving after a crash near Heathrow Airport which left three passengers dead.
The Old Bailey heard how Philip Rooney, 48, from Lanarkshire, was driving the National Express London to Aberdeen service when it overturned on a slip road of the M4 on January 3 2007.
Christina Toner, 76, from Dundee and Yi Di Lin, 30, a Chinese national, died in the crash while John Carruthers, 78, of Chertsey, Surrey died in hospital six months later.
Mr Justice Gross bailed Rooney until sentencing on 24 November.

Motorists convicted of causing death by dangerous driving in England and Wales could face harsher sentences under tough new guidelines introduced today. The guidance, issued by the Sentencing Guidelines Council, covers the offences of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Man Arrested After Body Discovered On Road
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in Worcestershire. Police were called to the incident at 4am after the body of a 36-year-old man from Stourport-on-Severn was discovered on Hillary Road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Teen Arrested After One Killed And One Injured By Car
A teenager has been arrested after a man was killed and another injured during a car collision in Cumbria. The men were struck on the A5087 at Conishead Bardsea at 3.50pm on Sunday. George Tyson, 61, from Ulverston, died at the scene. The other man was taken to Furness General Hospital, where he was released after treatment.

A man has been jailed for two years for causing the death of four of his children by dangerous driving. Father-of-seven Nigel Gresham, 37, was found guilty of four counts of causing death by dangerous driving after a trial at Lincoln Crown Court last month.
