Jersey Says 'No' To Time Change

Residents of Jersey have voted not to swap British time for Central European Time (CET), following a referendum. Nearly all the islands 27,000 residents voted, with more than 72% opposed to the change. The move came as backers say the island has more in common with its French neighbours. They also believe the move would benefit the tourism industry, as more available hours would attract sightseers. However, Jersey Finance Limited said it would mean longer hours in the office for workers and would damage the economy putting the island out of step with London.
