Man Remanded Over Recruitment Agency Death
A 52-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of the company director of a driver recruitment agency in south Wales.
Russell Carter, of Rumney, Cardiff, appeared at Newport Magistrate's Court facing charges of murder.
Kingsley Monk, the father-of-two from Oakdale, south Wales died at the Driverline 247 at the New Inn, Pontypool, Torfaen premises on Monday. He died from "pressure on his neck", a preliminary post mortem examination has revealed.
The 52-year-old is also charged with the attempted murder of three of Mr Monk's co-workers as well as four counts of false imprisonment.
Robert lewis, Nathan Taylor and Gethan Heal office were treated for injuries in hospital, and have since been released.
Mr Carter has been remanded in custody until a preliminary hearing at Newport Crown Court on 30 October.

Two people are due to appear in court charged with the murder of a female student whose headless body was found floating in a bag in the River Thames. The body of 23-year-old Xing Xing Xie was found in South Dock Marina in Rotherhithe in April. Her head and hands had been removed.

Man remanded over model's murder
A 35-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of teenage model Sally Anne Bowman. Mark Dixie, 35, a chef of no fixed address, was also charged with indecently assaulting a woman in Purley in 2001 and outraging public decency in a separate charge in the same year.

Gunman 'Makes Threats To The Public'
Police hunting for a fugitive gunman who is alleged to have shot three people in Northumbria have revealed that he has now made threats to members of the public. Raoul Moat, 37, has been on the run since the weekend shootings, which left his girlfriend injured, her new boyfriend dead and a police officer injured.

Man Faces Baby Murder Charge
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a four-month-old baby girl. Craig Jamieson, 28, from Scotscoun, appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, where he was remanded in custody. Mr Jamieson was arrested on Friday, shortly after the baby died in Glasgow's Yorkhill Hospital, after being taken from her home in Partick.
