Murder Inquiry Launched After Body Find
Detectives in Hampshire have launched a murder inquiry, following the discovery of a woman's body.
Paula Jane Poolton, 40, of Course Park Crescent, Titchfield, Fareham was last seen on October 17 in Portsmouth, Hants.
The victim was discovered in Park Gate near to Swanwick railway station on Monday.
Her black Peugeot 206 was seen at Tesco in Bursledon at around 9.40pm on Monday evening.
Detectives from Hampshire police’s Major Crime Department launched a murder investigation after her body was found.
A post mortem examination is due to take place and the body has not yet been formally identified.
Detective Chief Inspector Darren O'Callaghan, said: "I am appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to come forward.
"It is possible that someone in the area may have heard or seen something suspicious, if you did please contact the police immediately."

Father Questioned Over Woodland Body Find
Detectives investigating the murder of a 19-year-old woman, whose skeletal remains were discovered in woodland, have been granted more time to question her father. Sussex Police who arrested the 45-year-old on Saturday on suspicion of murder, have been granted a further 36 hours to question him on Sunday.

Man Guilty Of 16-Year-Old's Murder
A man has been found guilty of strangling a 16-year-old girl to death and dumping her body on wasteground. Zakk Sackett, 20, of Outram Place, north London was convicted at the Old Bailey of murdering his friend Jessie Wright whose body was found on 4 March 2010.

Epping Forest Body Find Becomes Murder Investigation
Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a body in Epping Forest last week. Police reported on Friday that a member of the public found the body just after 19:00 on Wednesday, 9 September close to Hollow Ponds along Whipps Criss Road. The body was wrapped in plastic and partially buried.

Colchester Murder: Police Appeal To Cyclists
Officers are continuing to investigate the the murder of Saudi Arabian student Nahid Almanea. Detectives are appealing for two cyclists, seen using Salary Brook Trail on the day of her death, to come forward. The man and woman were seen riding together coming from the direction of the University of Essex towards Greenstead.
