Four Arrested Over Murder
Four people have been detained on suspicion of murder following an attack on a 17-year-old boy in Hereford. The incident happened in the White Cross area on Thursday evening, according to West Mercia Police. The Great Western Way underpass and the surrounding area have been sealed off as investigations continue. Two other people have also been arrested for public order offences. Supt Kevin Purcell said: “This incident occurred between 9.30pm and 10.30pm yesterday and we are appealing for witnesses who may have seen or heard any disorder in and around the Great western Way at the time to come forward."
Man Found On Top Of Train
An injured man has been found on top of a rush-hour train in what officers are calling an "unexplained" incident. The man was found at Walton-on-Thames station on the Surrey/south-west London border by British Transport Police (BTP) at 7.56am on Friday. Police said that at this stage they did not know how the man had been injured. He was taken to hospital but his condition is not known.
Police Investigate Body In Burn
A police investigation is underway after the body of a man was found in a Fife burn. The body, of a man thought to be in his 60s, was found in the burn in Woodburn Terrace, St Andrews, at about 1720 GMT on Thursday. Police said they do not believe the death is suspicious. Fife Constabulary's Chief Inspector David Brown said inquiries into the cause of death were still at an early stage and more information would be issued later.
Green Light For £2m Football Centre
Plans for a £2m football centre at Bradley playing fields in Grimsby have been approved by council planners. The site will be transformed to include a full-size, all-weather floodlit football pitch and new changing rooms, training areas and social facilities. Car parking, drainage and security will also be improved "to enhance its chances of becoming a "regional centre of football development excellence". North East Lincolnshire Council teamed up with the FA to back the project.
Teen Arrested For Bringing Stun Gun To School
A teenager has been arrested after taking a stun gun to school and firing it at pupils. The 13-year-old pupil from Trinity Catholic School in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, was arrested or being in possession of a prohibited weapon. He was suspended, but has since returned to school. It was reported he chased students with the stun gun during a lunch break last week. No pupils are thought to have been injured. A Warwickshire Police spokeswoman said: "The boy was questioned by police and bailed without charge, and we are liaising with the youth offending team."
Seventh Set Of 'Million Hours' Safely Worked On Olympic Park
Workers on the Olympic Park have achieved a million hours worked without a reportable accident, the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has announced. It is the seventh time this milestone has been achieved since the ODA gained possession of the Park in July 2007. Lord McKenzie, Department for Work and Pensions Minister with responsibility for Health and Safety, said: "The ODA is to be congratulated for their commitment to their workers' health and safety at the Olympic Park. "What the figures prove is that health and safety does not need to be compromised when undertaking large contracts with demanding deadlines. As we move closer to 2012 and the completion of these important venues and infrastructure that same commitment will be more important than ever."

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

65-Year-Old Bailed On Asda Carpark Manslaughter Charge
A man arrested in connection with the death of 64-year-old man in an Asda car park has been bailed. It is understood that the victim died in hospital on Sunday after sustaining head injuries when he was pushed to the ground during an argument in the supermarkets disabled parking area.

An investigation into two people missing from a ferry has led to the arrest of 11 people in the Netherlands. The Stena Britannica, sailing from Harwich to the Hook of Holland, reported on Thursday morning that two passengers were missing, and were thought to have jumped overboard.
