More UK Swine Flu Cases Confirmed
Four more people in the UK have tested positive for swine flu, according to the Health Protection Agency (HPA).
The new cases are all associated with travel from Mexico, and they are adults from the north-west, east, West Midlands and East Midlands areas in England.
The new cases takes the number of those affected in the UK to 32.
It is understood a further 390 suspected cases of the H1Ni virus remain under investigation.
"The Health Protection Agency is working to ensure that any close contacts of these cases are offered anti-virals as a precautionary measure," the body said on its website.
Advice remains that individuals returning from affected areas who become unwell within seven days of their return, or contacts of a confirmed or probable case of swine flu who are exhibiting symptoms should stay at home and contact their GP or NHS Direct on 0845 4647. Individuals will be assessed and, if necessary, testing and treatment will be provided, the HPA added.
