Man In Court Over Mother-Of-Four Murder
A man has been remanded in custody, charged with murdering a mother-of-four.
Trevor Mark Ferguson, 49, of Gorsworth Road, Sale in Cheshire, is accused of murdering 50-year-old Karen McGraw, on Thursday evening.
Ms McGraw died in the Countess of Chester Hospital shortly after police were called to her home in Tecwyn Drive, Connahs Quay, North Wales.
The 49-year-old accused is to appear before Magistrates at Wrexham on Monday.
North Wales Police said Ms McGraw, who also had three grandchildren, was subjected to an attack where she suffered puncture wounds and the weapon believed to have been used has been identified.
Her daughter, Kimberley McGraw, said: "Our family are devastated by her sudden and tragic death.
"We are also deeply shocked by the circumstances surrounding her death.
"We ask that all her friends and everyone who knew her remember her at her happiest and not as she was when she was so cruelly taken from us at such a young age.
"We would like to thank everybody for their messages of support, condolences and the many flowers they have laid at her home."
The police force has referred their handling of the matter to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, however, no further explanation has been given.
