Dungannon Firm's Concrete Success In Carlow
A contract to supply a huge 3,000sqmts of architectural panels has just been fulfilled by a Co Tyrone concrete products firm.
Acheson & Glover has just finished work on the prestigious Shamrock Plaza development in Carlow in the Irish republic.
The project took six months to complete and saw the design and planning of the work all taking place in the mid-Ulster firm's offices.
The contract was finished in phases and was challenging in that the space available was tightly restricted and was carried out in close proximity to passing traffic and pedestrians.
The end result was 'aesthetically pleasing' and saw the fitting of cladding and curtain walling as well as glazing in the visible parts of the job.
The Shamrock Plaza is a five-storey 'landmark' building and is being used as retail, office and residential units all under one roof.
Landscaping has been finished and the Bank of Ireland has moved in as one of the first tenants.
