Rechristened Lumio unveils new business strategy
Belfast-based software company MINEit software have announced that they are to change their name to Lumio.
The company, a strategic partner with industry leaders such as IBM and SPSS, and which has a huge client base including Europe, US, Mexico and Japan, unveiled the name change alongside two significant new business ventures – with ABN AMRO Trust and the Design Council – worth £250,000.
Lumio Chief Executive, Maurice Mulvane explained that the name change suggested “the future”. He said: “We have invested heavily in world-beating technology development to optimise the effectiveness of e-business channels. Lumio represents the future, shedding new light on the 21st century world of digital channel interactions between customers and organisations.
“The company is moving into a new phase of customer solutions. These solutions, collectively called the Re:cognition product suite, improve the e-business effectiveness of customers’ digital channels, including Internet, wireless and digital TV.”
Dr Tony de Bree, eTrust Manager in ABN AMRO Trust in the Netherlands, said it was “imperative” for financial companies to develop partnerships with companies such as Lumio as he said it would enable measurement of the performance and effectiveness of customer internet channels and increase the return on investment for these channels.
Mark Davies, Internet Manager at the Design Council, added: “Lumio has provided us with critical evidence that enables us to make decisions on our site development and to justify further investment in our Internet marketing initiatives.”
