Irish Police Rearrest Delaney Suspect
A man has been rearrested in connection with the shooting of Robert Delaney in 2008, according to Gardaí this morning.
Officers in Tallaght, investigating the shooting of Robert Delaney on the 22nd October 2008 in the Russell Rise area of Tallaght, said they had arrested one male.
The male, who is in his 20s, is being detained in Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against the State Act.
The victim, Robert Delaney still remains in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital and the suspect was rearrested over the shooting of the father of two who was left severely brain-damaged.
A gunman who called at his house, shot Robert Delaney, 29, in the face with a shotgun.
A total of nine people have been arrested so far by officers investigating the gun attack at Russell Rise, Tallaght. One of those was rearrested this morning.
The attack was linked to a row in a pub a few weeks earlier. He remains in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital.
His family, including parents Terry and Noleen and his daughter Sinead, have been campaigning to have those behind the attack brought to justice.

John Lewis to open store in Sprucefield
It is reported that the top retail department store John Lewis is to open a store at the Sprucefield complex on the outskirts of Lisburn. The retail chain was previously believed to be considering Tallaght in Dublin, but in a move yet to be confirmed the chain have opted for the Sprucefield site in Co Antrim, Northern Ireland.
