Boiler Servicing Supports Cancer Charity
A local NI heating provider has teamed up with the Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF) to launch a new 'Community Pay and Donate Scheme'.
By booking a domestic gas or oil boiler service with Solv Group consumers donate £5 of the cost of the service to UCF - at no extra cost.
Stephen Kane, Director, Solv Group said: "We are delighted to donate £5 from the cost of each boiler serviced to UCF. It is vital that people routinely service their boiler. Not only will it help maintain its performance, optimise efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and save you money on fuel bills but it can also help prevent carbon monoxide poisoning which could save your life."
Hilary Scott, Retail Development Manager, UCF said: "Thanks to Solv Group for introducing this special fundraising initiative. We hope that lots of people will call into our shops to collect the flyer to book their boiler service and donate to UCF.
"When you're there, you may even pick up a Christmas bargain or you can drop off any unwanted or pre-loved goods which you no longer need for UCF to re-sell. As a local charity, UCF's shops provide a vital source of income which helps to save lives and enhances the quality of life of local people affected by cancer."
