Further Violence Blights Ballyclare
There has been a fresh incidence of trouble in the Co Antrim town of Ballyclare with a petrol bomb thrown at a house.
The device was thrown at the property on the Doagh Road around 7pm on Sunday and caused damage to guttering after two people were seen running away from the rear of the premises.
One person escaped injury after the petrol bomb failed to ignite.
As the police are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed this new attack to contact them, South Antrim Ulster Unionist MLA Danny Kinahan has condemned an earlier incident - when a pipe bomb was planted in the Rashee Road area of Ballyclare.
"I unreservedly condemn the actions of those who planted a pipe bomb at the Readers Park development on the Rashee Road in Ballyclare," he said on Friday.
"Such actions are utter madness and will result in someone being seriously injured or even killed.
"We have seen a similar incident in this area recently and have also had a spate of attacks in parts Antrim town.
"I know full well from talking to local people that the community that there is absolutely no support for this type of activity. The entire community is shocked and angry that people should be put at risk in this way.
"Whoever is responsible should cease this madness at once, and anyone with any information should contact the police immediately."

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Ballyclare Bomb Alert Declared A Hoax
Danny Kinahan, Ulster Unionist MLA for South Antrim, has condemned those responsible for a bomb alert near Ballyclare Police Station this morning. Local people had to be evacuated from their homes and children making their way to school were also put at risk.

Christmas Parking Rates For NI Towns
Twenty-five towns in Northern Ireland are to benefit from a special Christmas parking rate, it has been revealed. The Department for Regional Development has said some 95 car parks will be affiliated with the rate, with five hours of parking costing motorists just £1.

Rathlin Fire Brought Under Control
Fire crews from across Northern Ireland have been working to bring a large gorse fire under control. Emergency services were called shortly after 1pm on Thursday after a gorse fire, spanning more than one kilometre, broke out on Rathlin Island. It is understood the blaze started after some rubbish caught fire.
