Equine Care Goes Mobile

Worried NI horse owners can now turn to their own mobile phone or laptop with a new online feature letting equine lovers see their animal from anywhere in the world - by Internet access.

Agrihealth, a veterinary wholesaler, based in Craigavon, has won the UK agency from LUDA Elektronik in Sweden for their animal surveillance systems and have just launched HorseCam Online nationwide.

This unique facility allowing users to keep a virtual eye on their horses - from anywhere - live.

Until recently the popular HorseCam CCTV had only an 800-metre range from stable to hand-held sound and picture monitor.

Now this new online feature offers peace of mind from further afield for those with an Internet access phone or laptop.

Commenting, Gemma Beeston, Equine Product Manager at Agrihealth, explained: "HorseCam Online is a web service provided by LUDA Elektronik AB of Sweden as an extension to their HorseCam surveillance system.

"This online equipment was included with every HorseCam package sold since February last year, so existing owners can also quickly log on for peace of mind at minimal cost.

"Simple to install within minutes HorseCam is very easy to use with no technical problems such as firewalls or IP configurations," she said.

"HorseCam cameras also have a 10m night vision, wide-angle lens producing good pictures from stables - thus making this high quality Swedish CCTV package the practical solution to having peace of mind about your horse wherever owners go."
