One man killed and two seriously injured in collision

A man has been killed and two others injured in a road accident in County Antrim.

The collision on Friday October 12 at a junction on the Ballyrickard Road, involved a car and a transit van, said the police.

The male driver of the car, who was 32, died at the scene and two men in the van were injured.

The injured had to be cut free from the wreckage by fire fighters before being taken to hospital. One of the men has been admitted to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, the other, a 19-year-old man, is being treated at Antrim Area Hospital. They are being treated for serious head and chest injuries. (AMcE)

Stabbing At Belfast College
Two people have been stabbed in an incident at the Millfield campus of Belfast Metropolitan College. One of the injured men is described as being in a critical condition, according to reports. The second injured man is understood to have been detained by police at the scene of the incident and is being treated as a suspect.

A man in his 50s has been killed in a two-vehicle road crash in County Fermanagh. The collision occurred on the Manoo Road in Kesh at around 6pm on Wednesday. Man Suffers Serious Injuries In Ballymena Attack
A man has been seriously injured after being assaulted by a gang in Ballymena. The 35-year-old victim was attacked by three people in the James Street area in the early hours of Sunday morning. He is currently being treated in hospital and his injures are believed to be serious. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man injured in paramilitary-style attack
Police have launched an investigation after a man was shot and injured in a paramilitary-style attack in Co Down. The man was also beaten around the head during the attack which happened on the Model Farm housing estate at around 9pm on Wednesday night. The man was taken to Down Hospital where he was treated for bullet wounds to his ankles.

Man injured in hit-and-run incident
A man has been injured after a hit-and-run incident in west Belfast last night. The man was struck on the Glen Road close to the post office and suffered severe head injuries. He is being treated in hospital. Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
