Omagh IT Firm 'Makes Right Connections'
Invest Northern Ireland is helping an Omagh based IT company, Loughtec to increase its market share in the Republic of Ireland and Europe.
It offers innovative IT consultancy and service solutions to a wide variety of businesses has invested over £33,000 in market research and export development, to help expand its products and services to the Republic of Ireland (RoI) and mainland Europe.
The company has employed a business development manager to drive growth opportunities in new markets. Invest NI offered Loughtec over £8,000 towards the project.
Mary Gormley, Manager of Invest NI's Western Regional Office, commented: "This investment has helped the firm to raise its corporate profile and boost its competitive position in export markets.
"Loughtec's success in RoI to date will hopefully stimulate further growth and help the company to secure additional business outside Northern Ireland."
Sean McDermott, Director of Loughtec, commented: "Invest NI's support has been instrumental in enhancing our ability to compete for new customers.
"We are focused on sustaining growth in RoI and will also continue to market our services to potential customers in Denmark, Holland and Sweden."

Invest NI helps local firms enhance export potential
A record number of 18 local start-up companies have been helped to sell their services and products outside of Northern Ireland, Invest NI’s Western office has reported. The western office, based in Omagh and Enniskillen, revealed in its annual report that its ‘Growth Start’ programme had had its best year to date.

Derry firm to invest £1.1m in textile market
Northern Ireland’s largest corporate uniform manufacturer and supplier is to invest £1.1 million to assist the company meet the challenges posed in an ever changing textile market. Londonderry-based Hunter Apparel Solutions, which currently employs 92 staff and expects to create 13 extra jobs, will be assisted in their development by Invest NI.
