Ballymena Barrack's Masterplan In Focus
A high-powered corporation may be set up to oversee the regeneration of the former St Patrick's Barracks site.
Promoted by the office of the First Minster and Deputy First Minister it is believed that if the projects goes ahead it could shape how Ballymena town centre develops over the next 20 years.
According to www.unearthore.com the 43 acre site is currently in the ownership of the Office of the First and Deputy First Minister at Stormont and officials are weighing up the options.
Over the next 10 to 15 years, the site could potentially accommodate a mixture of flagship multi-million pound public and private sector projects, employing thousands of people in the close proximately of the town centre.
It is believed that a corporation, comprising political representatives and key private sector experts in the field of urban regeneration may be established to move the project on.

New NI Air Ambulance Service To Be Based At Maze Long Kesh Site
