Man Killed In Canal Accident
A man has been found dead in a car that crashed into Newry canal.
The vehicle plummeted into the water at Victoria Locks on the Fathom Line outside Newry.
The body of the man, believed to be in his 60s, was removed from the water by diving teams.
The incident was reported to the police at around 2pm, and investigations are ongoing.
Sinn Féin's Newry Mayor Charlie Casey said his thoughts were with the victim and his family and he extended his sympathy.

A 50-year-old woman has died after her car crashed into Newry Canal. The victim, who has been named as Patricia Campbell, is thought to have been from the Newry area. At around 1.30pm on Tuesday, her car crashed into the canal on Fathom Line. No other car was involved in the incident.
