Cannabis Factory Worth £200,000 Discovered
Police have uncovered a cannabis factory following a search of a property in the Belfast Road area of Antrim yesterday, Saturday 28th January.
Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £200,000 have been seized. Cultivating equipment and other drugs paraphernalia were also found.
A 33-year-old female was arrested at the scene. She remains in custody this assisting police with their enquiries.
Commenting on the operation Area Commander Chief Inspector Natalie Wilson said: "This discovery has taken large quantity of potentially dangerous drugs off our streets.
"We remain totally committed to tackling the scourge of illegal drugs and we are working to disrupt the activities of the gangs involved in their sale and supply, limit the amount of misery they are able to inflict on communities and ultimately by putting them behind bars.
"We will continue to address the issues of illegal drug use and supply with the support of the local community. I would like to thank all of the people who have worked with us to help us take drugs off the street and would ask the community to continue to bring us information so that we can take action."

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Man Charged Following Drugs Find
A man has been charged after police seized drugs, worth a street value of between £50,000-£75,000, in Co L'Derry. Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis were discovered during search in the High Street area in Draperstown on Wednesday. A 35-year-old man has been charged with possession and cultivation of class B drugs with intent to supply.
