Funeral Of Joby Murphy Held

The funeral of Joby Murphy has taken place in north Belfast.

The service was held at the Holy Family Church and was conducted by Fr John Forsythe.

The 20-year-old drowned in the River Lagan after attending a concert at the Odyssey Arena on 26th January.

His body was discovered last Saturday morning.

The family of Mr Murphy are calling for an end to cheap drinks promotions in the city.

Northern Ireland’s nightclub owners have been summoned to a meeting to discuss "irresponsible" alcohol promotions. Following the death pf 20-year-old Joby Murphy, who died after a night out drinking,various criticisms have been raised about the amount of "cheap" drink offers available to teens at NI nightspots.

Body Located In Missing Man Search
Volunteers searching for missing Belfast pensioner Tony Crickard in Co Kerry have found a body. The body - which has since has been removed from the scene - was located at the foot of Mount Brandon (pictured).
