LAUNCH OF JOEY DUNLOP’S OFFICIAL BIOGRAPHY

THE official biography of Joey Dunlop, undisputed master of the Isle of Man T.T., has been launched in his home town of Ballymoney, County Antrim.

The official commemorative biography, issued on Tuesday June 19, is packed with colour illustrations and written in association with the Dunlop family and Honda UK. The publication promises to be full of unique insights into his remarkable career, which tragically ended in July 2000.

Bob McMillan, Honda’s Racing Manager, said: “Joey was the greatest motorcycle road racer the world has ever seen. We were delighted to work with Haynes, the publishers, and the official book is a fine and lasting tribute to such a great rider.”

The author, Mac McDiarmid, witnessed Joey’s first Isle of Man win in 1977, and is himself a former T.T, racer. (CD)
