SEARCH FOR PORTADOWN GIRL CONTINUES
DETECTIVES in Portadown investigating the disappearance of Caroline Graham have brought in specialists to examine waste ground of Carleton Street in the County Armagh town.
Caroline, originally from Newry in County Down, was 19 years old when she went missing in April 1989, from her home in Portadown. She was living with her boyfriend in Hanover Street at the time of her disappearance, close to the scene of the police operation which is being held in a garden at the rear of houses on Carleton Street.
Caroline’s mother, Barbara Graham, is appealing to anyone with information on her daughter’s whereabouts to come forward, and commented that she greatly wanted to see it all come to an end.
The RUC said the search began after recent surveys had been carried out in the Carleton street area, although it is understood that the search is more about eliminating possibilities rather than finding a body. (CD)
