Woman 'Was Attacked With Stiletto Heel'
A Derry man attacked his partner with a six-inch stiletto heel, the city's magistrates court has heard.
A police officer told the court that when they arrived at a house in Stewarts Terrace, they found the woman bleeding heavily from her head.
Everyone involved was very drunk, according to the officer.
Kevin Conaghan, 38, of Laurence Hill in Londonderry, denies attempting to murder the woman.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again next month.
Police Investigate Newry Warehouse Fire
A fire described at the time as one of the largest ever seen in Northern Ireland is now under investigation as police say it was suspicious.
The blaze at a clothes recycling plant in a warehouse in the Newton Road area of Meigh, near Newry, was tackled through the night by 115 firefighters.
Anyone with information can call 0845 600 8000 to speak to police.
Pipe Bomb Found In Craigavon
A pipe bomb was found during a security alert near a police station in Craigavon.
Brownlow Police Station and the Legahory Centre were cordoned off early this morning but have now been re-opened to motorists and pedestrians as the device has been taken away to be examined.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Derry police station sprayed with gunfire
Strand Road police station in Derry city centre has come under attack this morning from a gunman who sprayed the building with automatic gunfire. No one was injured in the attack but several vehicles were damaged. A lone gunman opened fire with what police believe was an assault rifle from the junction of Queen Street and Asylum Road.

Joe Reilly Murder: Man Arrested
A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Joe Reilly. Mr Reilly, 43, was shot at his home in the Glenwood Court area of Poleglass, west Belfast, on 20 October. The suspect was arrested on Monday, 19 December, and has been taken to Musgrave Police station to be questioned.

The 70-year-old was assaulted as he walked home from Lagan Valley Pigeon Club. An investigation by the Police Ombudsman found a series of failings in the initial police response.
