Shots fired at Co Londonderry home
A house and car have come under a shotgun attack in Co Londonderry early this morning.
Two shots were fired, one through the front of the house and the other at the vehicle, outside in the village of Claudy at around 3am. A couple and their three sons were sleeping inside at the time, however no-one was injured.
Police do not believe the attack was sectarian.
Elsewhere, in Londonderry itself, a newly renovated home has been attacked by arsonists. Petrol was sprinkled inside the house at Cornshell Fields before being set alight. There was no-one in the house at the time.

Masked Men Attack House In Co Down With Baby Inside
Masked men have attacked a house in Co Down while an 11-month-old baby was inside. The suspects, who were wearing balaclavas, smashed windows at the front and back of the property in the Bloomfield Court area in Bangor just after 11.20pm on Monday, 22 May. Paint bombs were also thrown and caused damage to the inside and outside of the house.

Two Charged Over Alvor Killing
A teenager and another male have appeared in court in Portugal charged in connection with the death of a Londonderry businessman in the Algarve earlier this month. The accused, aged 19 and 26 and from Brazil, were charged with homicide and robbery. The 26-year-old was remanded in custody while the 19-year-old was placed under partial house arrest.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.
