Oscar's Stolen £1,000 Left At Church Doors
Cash that was stolen after a charity event for a three-year-old boy with cancer is thought to have been left in a church in Omagh.
£1,000 was left in the porch of the Sacred Heart church yesterday marked for the Oscar Knox appeal.
Oscar, from Mallusk, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma late last year.
His family have been fundraising for his treatment since and on Friday night an event raised £1,993.
But £1,000 of that was stolen from a house in Coolnagard Lane by the next day.
Following an appeal, an anonymous donor gave £1,000 to replace the lost money.
But now it appears the stolen cash may have been given back.
Police are investigating the burglary.
