Mopack shed 25 jobs in Co Tyrone

Officials at the Strabane-based Mopack Plastics told employees on Tuesday morning that 25 jobs are set to go at the Co Tyrone firm.

However, it is understood that a further 77 jobs, which were under threat, could now be saved.

Mopack Plastics went into receivership in February this year, calling in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as joint administrative receivers. PwC's business recovery services were brought in to administer Mopack and assess the scale of the financial difficulties facing the company.

Mopack processes printed polythene and polypropylene products for the food, textiles, medical and agriculture industries.

The Strabane-based company was acquired by One Vizion in August 2002.
