'Guns In Car' Man In Court
A 52-year-old man who was arrested on Monday after police allegedly found guns in a BMW they searched has appeared in court.
Paul McDaid, of Sheridan Street in Belfast, spoke only to confirm his name and will appear again at Lisburn court next month, via videolink.
He allegedly had two handguns and 14 rounds of ammunition in the vehicle.
Police stopped the vehicle near Hillsborough in County Down as part of an operation investigating dissident republican activity.
Warrenpoint Marina Plans To Go Ahead
Plans for a new marina in Warrenpoint have been given the go-ahead at a meeting of Newry and Mourne District Council.
If the project gets EU funding, a 200-berth marina will be operational in the town by early 2015.
And SDLP councillor Michael Carr told the County Down Outlook that together with the news that passenger cruise vessels could come to the town again, the marina project would "bring a massive boost to tourism in the Carlingford Lough and Newry and Mourne areas, which have so much to offer".
4G To Come To Belfast
Belfast is to get superfast 4G mobile broadband products and services by Christmas.
Orange and T-Mobile owner Everything Everywhere have teamed up and will make the technology available in 16 cities across the UK.
The services will allow uninterrupted access to the web on the go, with faster download speeds and the end of buffering on TV streams.

Man's Body Recovered From Bangor Marina
Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was recovered from Bangor Marina on Wednesday, 13 May. Police received a report that a man had entered the water shortly after 10.15am. Emergency services and police attended the scene and the body was recovered from the water. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

£42m Marina Village Development Unveiled For Larne
A major tourism infrastructure project is being planned for the Antrim coast town of Larne with ambitious plans unveiled for a £42.5m marina 'village'. As well as a 200-berth marina and an improved promenade, the scheme by Larne Marina Company includes a 16-bedroom hotel and 121 houses.

Lagan Marina To Boost Visitor Numbers
A Stormont Minister has been 'messing about on the river' this week with news of the launch of a modern marina facility at the newly revamped Donegall Quay in Belfast. The Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland was on hand to open the new River Lagan Marina and mark completion of building works at adjacent Donegall Quay.

Man Seriously Attacked In South Belfast
Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously attacked in south Belfast. The assault occurred at a property in the Wauchope Court area on New Year's Eve. The man, aged in his 20s, is being treated in hospital. Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
