Industrial Accident Kills GAA Player
Fermanagh GAA player Brian Og Maguire has died in an industrial accident.
He was in his 20s.
Police received a report of an incident in the Ballymaconnell Road area of Derrylin shortly after 11am today.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
Cross-Border Roads Could Be Upgraded
Council representatives from Northern Ireland will visit Leinster House in Dublin today to discuss the possibility of upgrading cross-border roads.
The meeting is being held by the Dail's Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement.
And it will focus on the A5 Aughnacloy to Londonderry road, the N2 Clontibret to Northern Ireland border scheme, the M1 Drynam to Lissenhall Widening Scheme and the N13/N14 Junction at Manorcunningham.
Construction on two sections of the A5 - from Derry to north of Strabane and from Ballgawley to south of Tyrone - is due to begin this autumn, after the scheme received funding worth hundreds of millions of pounds from the Northern Ireland Executive and the Irish government.
Man Arrested After Drugs Haul
A 28-year-old man has been arrested after £380,000-worth of cannabis was seized in Magherafelt.
Thirty-eight kilos were recovered during a planned search of a house in Leckagh Drive on Tuesday evening, and have now been taken away for forensic examination.
Local area commander Chief Inspector Sam Donaldson hailed the find as a "brilliant success".

Road death figures are lowest in 50 years
Figures released today by the Department of the Environment have revealed that road deaths in Northern Ireland last year were at the lowest level in 50 years. The total number of road deaths in 2005 totalled 136, the lowest number since 1952 when 133 people lost their lives at at time when there was one eighth of the number of vehicles on the road.

Two Major Road Improvement Schemes Announced
The Department for Infrastructure has announced details of two major road improvement schemes in Ballygowan and Newtownards. A £230,000 road improvement scheme on the C272 Carrickmannon Road and C367 Church Hill, Ballygowan will begin on Tuesday, 08 May.
