Petrol bombers target Antrim home

Police at Antrim are appealing for information following a petrol bomb attack at a house in the town early this morning.

The incident at Norfolk Square in the Stiles Estate happened shortly before 2am when damage was caused to discarded items at the front of the house. There was no damage caused to the interior of the house and no reports of any injuries.

Police at this stage have not established a motive for the attack but have appealed to anyone with any information to contact detectives them on 028 90650222 or crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Meanwhile, a number of rounds of ammunition have been discovered in a building in the grounds of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

They were discovered at around 4.45pm yesterday afternoon in the roof of a building in the complex which was being demolished.

Police took the ammunition away for examination.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Petrol Bomb Thrown At Community Centre In L'Derry
A petrol bomb has been thrown at a community centre in Co L'Derry. The device was thrown at the Dove House building at around 11.30pm on Thursday, 18 August. Scorch damage was caused to the front of the building. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police come under petrol bomb attack
Police in Londonderry have escaped injury following a petrol bomb attack late last night. Officers came under attack in Butcher Street when a number of youths threw a pipe bomb at premises. No damage was caused however another device was later thrown at a police vehicle in Rossville Street. No one was injured.
