Elderly woman mugged for second time

An elderly woman has been mugged for the second time in just over a week.

Police in Bangor have appealed for information into the incident in which the 88-year-old pensioner had her handbag snatched as she left her home in Dufferin Avenue, Bangor.

It is understood that the woman's handbag contained only a small amount of money.

Last Thursday the woman was mugged in roughly the same spot close to her home.
