Teenage girl raped by gang of youths
Police are investigating claims that a young girl may have been the victim of a serious sexual assault at a park in north Belfast.
The incident is alleged to have taken place at the Waterworks Park on the Antrim Road at about 11pm on Tuesday evening.
Police searched the area, as well as conducting house-to-house inquiries, and are believed to have recovered the teenage girl's clothing from a lake in the park.
It is understood several youths may have been involved in the attack.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the sexual assault of a teenage girl at an event in Belfast. Police have reported that the teenager was sexually assaulted by an unknown male at an outdoor event in the Ormeau Park area and close to a fast-food van at about 10.30pm.

A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted in a forest park west Belfast, according to police. The victim, a 13-year-old girl was raped by the man in the Woodside Forest Park area of Poleglass over a week ago, however the details have just been released by police. A PSNI spokesperson said the attack took place around 10pm on Friday 27 April.

Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.
