Man Shot In West Belfast
A man has been the victim of a shooting incident in west Belfast.
The victim, thought to be in his 20s, was shot in the leg in the Beechview Park area at about 19:35 on Wednesday.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment.
Detectives in west Belfast have appealed for anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
Man Sentenced For Abusing Niece
A 42-year-old man has been sentenced to three years in prison at Londonderry Crown Court for sexually abusing his niece over a 10-year period.
The court heard how the complainant was five years old when the abuse began in 1985.
The accused cannot be named for legal reasons.
He admitted seven charges of indecent assault and six charges of committing gross indecency.
He has been placed on the sex offenders’ register and given three years probation upon the completion of his jail term.
The offences occurred in the girl's grandmother's home, where both she and her abuser lived.
Man Shot In Leg
A 31-year-old man has been shot in the leg in the Linenhall Street area of Ballymoney.
The incident occurred on 14 January at 22:00 when the man was approached by another man, who shot him in the leg.
The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to his injuries, which aren't believed to be life threatening.
A suspected firearm was recovered from the area and taken away for forensic examination.
Police in Coleraine are appealing for information.
Witnesses can contact Coleraine Police Station on 0845 600 8000 or the anonymous, independent charity crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.
Traders Call For PSNI Flag Protest Meeting
Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce has called for urgent talks with senior PSNI officers over the impact of the flag protests on local business.
Almost 200 traders gathered for an emergency meeting on Wednesday evening.
Police tactics around the protests have been called into question, while traders accused Stormont and City Hall of a lack of political leadership.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Man Shot In North Belfast
A man is being treated in hospital following a shooting incident in north Belfast. Police have reported that a 20-year-old man was injured in a paramilitary-style shooting at about 01:00 on Monday morning at Havana Walk in Ardoyne. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. An investigation into the shooting is underway.
