Factory blaze threatens 10 jobs at Derry engineering firm

Around 10 jobs are set to go in Co Londonderry following a fire at an engineering factory last night.

The blaze was spotted at Foyleside Engineering in Creggan at around 10pm. Firecrews were called and eventually got hold of the fire, preventing it spreading to nearby shops and offices.

A fire brigade spokesperson said it was too early to determine how the fire was started.
