Confiscation Order Against Belfast Woman
A Confiscation Order has been carried out against a Belfast woman to the tune of £4,825.
On 4 June 2010 the Social Security Agency Financial Investigation Unit obtained a Confiscation Order against Isobel Todd of Manor Street, Belfast.
The Financial Investigation Unit revisited the case, based on information obtained in the initial investigation, which showed that a further asset would become available on 9 November 2011.
On 16 May 2013 the Financial Investigation Unit was successful in obtaining a variation on the original Confiscation Order at Belfast Crown Court.
The variation requires the defendant to pay an additional sum of £4,589 on or before 16 November 2013.
Police Attacked In 'Bogus' Call
Police have been attacked in what is suspected as a bogus burglary call in Dunmurry.
Gunshots are believed to have been fired at officers in the Foxes Glen area at about 13:00 on Thursday.
One female officer and two males are said to have been left very shaken.
The original call to police is now thought to have been a decoy to lure officers to the area.
One In Ten Parking Fines Unpaid
One in ten paid parking fines In Northern Ireland remain unpaid, it has emerged.
A question to the Department of Regional Development by SDLP MLA John Dallat has revealed that s total of 30,359 tickets have not been paid in the last three years, out of 351,995 issued.
Over £100k For Cookstown Regeneration
£106,000 funding is to go towards regenerating Cookstown town centre.
The funding was allocated to Cookstown District Council, who will manage the delivery of the project.
Initiatives included in the revitalisation project are free Wi-Fi, branded street banners, shutter art to vacant shop units, window displays on vacant properties and branded "bags for life".
Social Development Minister McCausland said: "I am pleased that through my Department’s Revitalisation Scheme a number of innovative projects have been developed and delivered within Cookstown town centre. Through the delivery of these projects, Cookstown has enhanced its townscape and become a Wi-Fi hotspot.
"In the current economic climate, I am acutely aware that a local customer base is essential in any town for the survival of local businesses. It is therefore essential that through partnership working, we strive to ensure Cookstown retains a unique identity and remains a viable and vibrant town centre which appeals to shoppers and visitors alike."

McCausland Unveils Cookstown Regeneration
The launch of a draft Masterplan for Cookstown town centre has taken place, with NI Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland announcing that the purpose of the plan is to provide strategic guidance for the regeneration and development of the town centre over the next 10-15 years - and to enhance job opportunities.

Rural building case at Belfast’s High Court
A judicial review into the legislation limiting the building in the countryside has began at the High Court in Belfast. Omagh District Council have brought the challenge over the controversial PPS 14, and is being supported by Armagh, Coleraine, Cookstown, Moyle and Strabane councils.

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

Carrickfergus £2m Regeneration Project Complete
A £2m regeneration project for Carrickfergus has been completed today. The public realms scheme works commenced just over a year ago in February 2012 and involved overall improvements to the appearance of the town centre.
