Paint Attack On Belfast Islamic Centre
A bottle of paint has been thrown at the Belfast Islamic Centre in Wellington Park.
The police said they were treating the attack as a hate crime.
Two teenage boys were seen fleeing from the scene.
No-one was injured, however the police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
Ulster Unionist MLA Danny Kinahan said: "I would like to condemn last night’s paint-bomb attack on the Belfast Islamic Centre at Wellington Park in the south of the city. That attack was also the result of prejudice and hatred and does nothing to help any section of our society.
"We must all realise the major contribution made to Northern Ireland by ethnic minority communities. They play a key role in all walks of life, not least the health service and many skilled professions and trades."
