Armed Robbers Target Parochial House In Newry
Two men, one of whom was carrying a gun, have robbed a parochial house in Newry.
The pair entered St Catherine's Dominican Priory in Dominic Street at approximately 20.30pm on Thursday.
They threatened staff who were in the house at the time and made off with a sum of money.
no one was injured in the incident, however the staff were left badly shaken.
The two men spoke with southern Irish accents.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

The popular festival of hot Americana, ChilliFest, has announced it will be back in Custom House Square, Belfast for 2011. Taking place under a (hopefully) blazing June sun from 25 June - 26 June, the festival is part of the annual Open House Festival in the city Belfast.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a fatal house fire in Newry last Friday. The blaze, which killed 62-year-old Jimmy Thompson and another person was seriously injured, is being treated as deliberate. The suspect has been detained in police custody.
