Man injured in hit-and-run incident

Police in Ballycastle are appealing for information after a man was injured during a hit-and-run incident in Co Antrim yesterday.

The incident happened at around 2.30am in the early hours of Sunday morning. The man, who was among a group of friends, was struck by a silver Renault Clio on Bridge Street in Cushendall.

He was taken to a nearby hospital with an arm injury.

Six other people suffered minor injuries.

Eleven officers injured during disturbances
Eleven police officers have been injured following disturbances in north Belfast yesterday evening. The incident happened at around 7pm, when a stolen car was in collision with a police Land Rover in the New Lodge Road area of the city. Four police officers were injured.

A man has been injured after a hit-and-run incident in west Belfast last night. The man was struck on the Glen Road close to the post office and suffered severe head injuries. He is being treated in hospital. Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Man Escapes Injury After Bin Set Alight In Dunmurry
A man has escaped injury after a wheelie bin was set alight at the back of his house. The incident happened at a property in the Glenbawn Square area in dunmurry between 1am and 2am on Friday, 26 May. Damage was caused after the bin was pushed up against windows of the property. A number of residents extinguished the fire.

Man Killed In Farming Incident
A man has died in a farming accident in Co Fermanagh. The victim, 71, is thought to have been attacked by cattle on his farm near Ballinamallard. The incident happened over the weekend. An investigation is now being carried out by the Health and Safety Executive.

Ambulance damaged in brick attack
A brick has been thrown through a window of an ambulance in Dunmurry. The incident happened at around 9.50pm on Wednesday. While the driver escaped injury, police condemned the attack saying it had the potential for more serious consequences. This is just the latest in a spate of attacks on ambulance crew in recent times.
