Ennis Leads Trade Mission To China
Invest Northern Ireland Chair, Mark Ennis, is leading a trade mission to China this week.
The 20-strong trade mission includes companies from a variety of sectors including food, legal and manufacturing. Companies will visit Ningbo and Shanghai.
Mr Ennis said: "I am delighted to be returning to this exciting country to support this business mission. The key to doing business in China is to show commitment through repeat visits.
"Many of the companies are already active in China, whilst others are making their first venture. Regardless of their size or sector, they all possess a wealth of experience and expertise which will bring value to their business relationships with Chinese partners.
"China and Northern Ireland have a fast growing business relationship across a broad range of industrial sectors, with manufacturing and transport equipment remaining our biggest export market. Our manufacturing exports to China are increasing year on year.
"Invest NI has, for some time, had a trade and investment office in Shanghai to help support local companies in their dealings with China. This has recently been supplemented with the appointment a Project Manager who will work out of the China-Britain Business Council offices in Beijing."
