Invest NI Announce Trade Mission To China
Invest NI have announced a Trade Mission to China from 16–20 October, 2017.
Those interested are invited to join the mission and take advantage of the business opportunities within the region, during which the five-day multi-sector trade mission will focus on Beijing and Shanghai.
This mission will be multi-sectoral and open to companies wishing to develop their exports to this region.
Invest NI describe China as "the great economic success story of the past 30 years". It is currently the world's second largest economy and the most populous country with over 1.35 billion citizens.
Beijing is the second largest Chinese city by urban population (16 million) after Shanghai (20 million) and is the nation's political, cultural, and educational centre. It is home to the headquarters of most of China's largest state-owned companies, and is a major hub for the national highway and high-speed rail networks.
Shanghai is the economic capital of China and is a major trade, industrial, education and transport hub, with a well-developed commercial infrastructure. China's scientific and economic institutions are all located in Shanghai.
Benefits of participation include:
• Opportunity to access two of the world's largest cities
• Advice and support on doing business in China by country experts
• Direct insights into local market opportunities and conditions
• A networking event providing you with the opportunity to meet with local industry representatives
• Up to 50% contribution towards an economy airfare (capped amount)*
• Up to £75 per night towards accommodation – maximum 5 nights*
In addition to the export advice and guidance provided by Invest NI's trade team in Belfast, in-market trade advisors can provide tailored market research and individual appointment arranging for your company.
The cost of this service is heavily subsidised by Invest NI and will be £500 +VAT for one mission centre and £750 +VAT for two centres.
* Contribution towards airfares and accommodation is for one participant per company only.
