Man remanded in custody following knife attack
A man has been remanded in custody following a knife attack on the outskirts of Belfast on Tuesday.
Martin Adams, 36, appeared before Lisburn Magistrates Court today charged with trying to murder another man at the victim's home in Summerhill Drive, Twinbrook.
The victim, Patrick Sloane, confronted Adams when he broke into his house at around 10.30pm on Tuesday evening. He was subsequently slashed across his hands and arms during the incident.
Adams, who is unemployed, was remanded in custody to appear by video link before the same court on 10 June.

James Meneely, 38, from Rogan Manor in the city was arrested by police officers investigating the burglaries in Belfast, Newcastle and Coleraine. The charges relate to mainly private houses. He was remanded in custody until later in April.
