Man 'Bursts Into Flames' In Belfast Centre
Belfast city centre has reopened as normal this morning, after a suspected bomber burst into flames in the Golf Madness shop in the Cornmarket area.
Police sealed off part of the city centre as a result of the incident, which followed the explosion of a device outside a restaurant in Cathedral Quarter last Friday.
The man is reported to have entered the shop with something apparently concealed under his coat. He then burst into flames, dropped a device on the floor and ran out of the shop in the direction of Ann Street.
Police have advised city centre businesses to check their premises for any suspicious objects, following recent incidents linked to dissident republican activity in the city.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have noticed any suspicious activity is also asked to contact PSNI detectives at Musgrave.
Assistant Chief Constable for Urban Region Will Kerr has asked the public for "continued support" in the weeks coming up to Christmas.
"There is no perfect security solution to terrorism," he said. "Long term success against terrorism needs a combination of policing, community and political efforts and it is vital we all play our part.
"In the coming weeks, PSNI will be continuing with an enhanced policing profile across Northern Ireland to provide safety and reassurance to everyone but we also need your help and support.
"We would ask the public to remain vigilant at all times. If you see any suspicious activity or any suspicious looking objects, please report it to police immediately.
"We are continuing to engage with our partners within the business community in Belfast and indeed across Northern Ireland to ensure that the balance of how we police this threat is right. There may be some disruption as police do their job and there may also be times when we are required to ask for buildings or areas to be evacuated and to that end, we would call on the public to cooperate fully with us as we will always prioritise public safety."

Investigation Launched After Heroin And Cash Seized In Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after discovering heroin and a sum of cash in Belfast city centre. Four wraps of the Class A drugs were found in bushes on Wednesday, 30 November. Police also seized a sum of cash. The PSNI are continuing with their enquiries.

Police Issue Appeal Over Attempted PSNI Murder
The PSNI has issued an appeal to the public regarding the attempted murder of an off-duty police officer and his family at their home in east Belfast on Sunday 30 December. Detectives from Serious Crime Branch want to speak to late night revellers who got taxis in Belfast city centre that weekend.

Primark Donates £500,000 To Support Businesses Affected By Fire
Retailer Primark is donating £500,000 to Belfast City Council's City Recovery Investment Fund. The fund is being set up after a number of businesses have been severely affected by the fire at the Bank Buildings which happened over three weeks ago. A cordon remains in place and 14 firms have been closed for up to four months.
