Pharmaceutical Firm Open Offices In Japan And Singapore
Almac pharmaceutical, which is headquartered in Craigavon, County Armagh, has opened two new offices in Japan and Singapore in a bid to meet demand in Asia, according BBC News.
The pharmaceutical company, which has more than 3,300 staff, specialises in drug testing and development and has managed thousands of clinical trials.
The firm is one of the Northern Ireland's major exporters with about 95% of its business outside of the UK.
The firm, who also has bases in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and California, also announced a new secondary packaging facility in Singapore at the end of this year.
Chief executive said the news was “a significant step forward for Almac in expanding our business in the Asia Pacific region."

Economy Minister Conor Murphy has launched the Business Innovation Grant (BIG), a new £4.3 million initiative designed to stimulate innovation and enhance productivity among Northern Irish businesses.
