Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Firm To Create 14 New Jobs
A pharmaceutical manufacturing firm in L'Derry is to create 14 new jobs.
iMed said the roles include managerial, specialist and manufacturing positions.
Almost half of the posts are already in place.
The investment is being supported by Invest NI.
The new jobs will contribute £350,000 annually in additional salaries to the local economy.
Co-owners Laurence O'Kane and Paul Murphy said: "iMed operates in a highly regulated sector, requiring extensive batch traceability and label conformity. Invest NI support towards job creation and upskilling our workforce will give us the resources needed to scale the business quickly and increase our market share.
"The practical support we gained from Invest NI's experts in productivity encouraged us to implement lean processes in our operations. These measures enabled us to achieve a step change in capacity and output, safeguarding our competitiveness in a rapidly changing market. Our new facility consolidates our manufacturing activity across the group, creating cost efficiencies and will enable us to respond promptly to forthcoming changes in legislation."

Westland Horticulture has announced it is to create 70 new jobs in Dungannon as part of a £9.6 million expansion. The firm recently developed a new fertiliser manufacturing plant at Invest NI's Dungannon Business Park. It is also investing in new machinery and equipment, as well as a training and development programme.

A total of 130 jobs have been created after a Bangor firm scooped a £19.5m PPE contract with Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland (HSCNI). The major new contract will see Denroy manufacture and supply FFP3 masks to HSCNI from its new manufacturing facility in Bangor.

Six manufacturing firms are to create over 40 new jobs in Northern Ireland. Big Picture Joinery, Mango Bikes, Amphora NDT, Carey Cleaning Machines Ltd, Gault Engineering and Premier Protective Coatings Ltd have created the posts to help increase turnover and export sales. Invest NI has offered £261,000 of support towards the 41 new jobs.
