Handgun, Ammo And Silencer Seized In Raids
Police have recovered a handgun and ammo in raids on properties in the Mount are of Ballymacarret.
The searches were carried out as part of an ongoing operation tackling serious and organised crime in the area.
A number of items were recovered during the raids, including a handgun, ammunition and a silencer.
Police say that the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on the new non-emergency number 101 or they can get in touch anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

School Boys Find Handgun In Park
A revolver handgun has been found by two 10-year-old school boys in a Co Antrim park. According to police, the school boys discovered the firearm and a balaclava in Valley Park, Glengormley, while on a school outing. The firearm has been removed to undergo forensic examination, with police saying that an investigation into the weapon is underway.

Police search properties during Londonderry raids
Police have carried out a number of raids in homes and businesses in Londonderry this morning, in connection with serious organised crime. It is understood that a total of 18 private houses and commercial properties in the Claudy, Dungiven and Park areas of the city were searched.

Man's Body Recovered From Bangor Marina
Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was recovered from Bangor Marina on Wednesday, 13 May. Police received a report that a man had entered the water shortly after 10.15am. Emergency services and police attended the scene and the body was recovered from the water. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
