Teenagers Robbed In Ormeau 'Hate Crime'

Two teenage boys have been robbed and assaulted in Belfast's Ormeau Park in what police are treating as a hate crime.

A 15-and 16-year-old boy were walking through the park in the south of the city at about 21:30 on Saturday, when they were approached by two older teens.

The youngest of the two was hit on the head with a plastic bottle. The other victim had a mobile phone taken from him.

It is reported that one of the attackers made a racist remark.

The first attacker is described as aged around 18 years old with dark hair, wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and three-quarter length blue jeans.

The second teen is also described as aged around 18 years old with dark hair, but wearing a Manchester United football top and grey shorts.

The PSNI has requested any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
