Investigation Launched Into Pharrell Williams Gig

Publicists for Pharrell Williams have confirmed that the US popstar will not be appearing at the b.e.d nightclub in Newry.

The nightclub had started promoting the gig, due to be held on 05 July, on Tuesday, putting up posters around the town and announcing the performance on social media.

However, it has now been revealed that no such show will be happening, after a publicist for the singer confirmed to the BBC that no such gig had been booked.

An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the apparent booking, with the promoter and b.e.d nightclub saying that had acted in "good faith", and genuinely believed it had booked the star.
