Irish Firm Creates 260 Jobs In Co Cork
Two hundred and sixty jobs are to be created in Cork by Irish-owned company, SouthWestern.
The firm, which provides health claims administration, debt collection and help desk services, will create 100 jobs immediately, with an additional 160 jobs to follow over the next two years.
The jobs announcement comes as the company opens its new offices at Little Island, Co Cork, on Monday.

Quinn Insurance is planning to create 350 new jobs in Co Cork over the coming years. The positions will be located at a new base in Little Island. Tánaiste Mary Coughlan will formally announce details of the project during a visit to Cork today.

A total of 250 jobs are to be created following the expansion of driver training and instruction company SIM2Learn, it has been announced. The company has its headquarters in Galway, and operates from centres in Dublin, Cork, Sligo and Letterkenny.

Sigmar Recruitment is to create 150 new jobs, the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O'Connor, has announced. The new jobs are part of the company's expansion plans to deliver a wider portfolio of services globally and will bolster the position of the company as Ireland's leading independent recruiter.

Offshore Company Axes Jobs
Around 150 jobs in Aberdeen and Dundee have been axed after an offshore services company ceased trading. Oceanteam Power and Umbilical has been forced to close when the firm's holding company withdrew its financial support. Staff are based in Aberdeen, at workshops in Dundee and offshore.
