Police Investigate 'Foreign National' Graffiti
Police have begun investigating graffiti that has appeared in the Country Tyrone village of Moygashei warning landlords not to lease property to "foreign nationals".
The vandalism occurred at some stage between 23:00 on Friday and 05:00 on Saturday morning. Police say they received a number of complaints following the appearance of the graffiti.
Sinn Féin MP for Fermanagh South Tyrone Michelle Gildernew said: "The painting of this racist message is extremely sinister. This is not graffiti. Those behind it have taken the time and effort to stencil this message threatening landlords who would rent property to foreign nationals.
"This comes only a day after KKK flags were removed in Belfast. This message threatens landlords and essentially instils fears into anyone from an ethnic background living in or near the town.
"I have reported this directly to the PSNI as a hate crime and I am expecting them to take action. I am working to ensure that this hate message is removed as a matter of urgency. What we need now is political leadership stating clearly that this is wrong. Politicians from all parties should be unequivocal that racism has no place in Tyrone or anywhere else."

Hard-Hitting Road Safety Message Delivered To Young People
Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.

Derry Mayor calls time on graffiti scourge
The Mayor of Derry has given her support to an anti-graffiti initiative as part of the City’s 'Spring Clean' campaign. Cllr Kathleen McCloskey said she hoped the initiative, which is being promoted by Derry City Council and the North West Development Office, would rid the city of this "unsightly" act.

Safety improvements on Foyle Bridge announced
Additional safety measures are to be put in place on the Foyle Bridge in Londonderry, the Roads Service announced today. The move will see "two high specification variable message signs" on the approaches to the bridge at a cost of £300,000.
